Daily Dial #46 – Sat 21 Feb – Kempton, Fairyhouse and Newcastle

A short and sharp post today, as I got far too carried away with the cards. Some excellent competitive racing and some cracking races to bet with it. There’s a flurry at bigger prices, but pay attention to the points system. The second biggest price is the second best fancy.
Daily Dial #45 – Fri 20 Feb – Southwell All-Weather

With Thursday skipped due to nothing appealing on the betting front, I was hopeful today would offer some fruitful looking opportunities, but I’ve ultimately been left with just the one play. However, it’s a very solid one and one I was surprised to see at such a price.
Daily Dial #44 – Wed 18 Feb – Kempton Park All-Weather

A cracking Kempton all-weather card tonight and again one I thoroughly enjoyed getting stuck into. By a wide margin this is my favourite betting track and we’ve come away with three absolutely solid bets with boxes plentifully ticked.
Daily Dial #43 – Tue 17 Feb – Newbury, Market Rasen and Wolverhampton

For the first time in a few weeks, the racecards for the day were enjoyable to study. The cards of late have done little to inspire, but both the Newbury and Market Rasen cards look nicely competitive, and despite being low-grade, Wolverhampton looks decent enough too.
Daily Dial #42 – Mon 16 Feb – One Bet at Carlisle

A short and sharp Daily Dial today, with a single bet on the day following a trainer in blistering form, who only has one runner on the day. A handicap debutant in a race that looks lacking in depth at this grade, hopefully it’s another good bit of placement.

If you asked me to choose one factor that matters more than any other in horse racing, it is distance. Not class. […]
Daily Dial #41 – Sun 15 Feb – Punchestown and Newcastle

Two bets today, one over hurdles in Ireland and one on the All-Weather at Newcastle, both win bets at healthy enough prices. One being a breeding line we’ve followed who steps up in grade and looks overlooked in the betting, with the other one who has been running well but gets a marked upgrade in the saddle today.
Daily Dial #40 – Sat 14 Feb – Lingfield and Newcastle

Two interesting bets from the all-weather today, one each across Lingfield and Newcastle. One from the Tracker, who I’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this since March last year, and one who goes 2lbs better off than when collecting us place money last time out.
Daily Dial #39 – Thu 12 Feb – A Double-Figure Win Bet at Lingfield

Plenty of racing about today, but one very obvious bet which really leapt out and jabbed me on the nose. With double-figure odds about this one, I’ve taken a bold stance to play him Win Only, as I think there is enormous value in him.
Daily Dial #38 – Mon 9 Feb – One Outsider at Wolverhampton

On a quiet day of racing we have opted for a minimum each-way bet on a big priced outsider dropping vastly in distance and bred to appreciate it. We’re hoping this is a case of one having been run over the wrong distance for a while…
