Three cards today but very limited stuff and not a lot to get excited about. Most disappointed with Kempton card, which I will ordinarily spend an age on, but it’s a dismal betting card. Two chances stood out to me enough at the prices, so I’m going with. Yesterday’s four… Four selections yesterday and three … Read more

A day of low grade racing ahead, but there was a surprising amount which stood out, so I’ve gone somewhat mob-handed and that’s with leaving a couple who more than half tempted me to run. Yesterday’s two returned nothing. The first up, Conquest Of Power at Kempton, had the writing on the wall soon after … Read more

Yesterday’s post was a profitable one, but without a big dose of lady luck, it would’ve been a comedy of errors. We had Wade Out, who appeared to absolutely hate the track at Windsor, running no sort of race, Thats About Right at Thurles, who hated the ground, and Miss Cynthia at Fakenham, who bumped … Read more

Some really nice races to sift through today, which looked a far better betting opportunity than the mudling cards of yesterday. This is a funny time of year for it, … Read more

Powder kept dry for a few days. With the weather causing disruptions and the standard of racing poor, it wasn’t paying off, so no harm in easing off until more viable opportunities come along. Today there’s some decent racing to be seen, and what looks like some nice betting opportunities, so fingers firmly. Double Powerful … Read more

The racing during this funny new year period is proving tough to call, so I’ve been treading somewhat lightly. The Lingfield card looked horrible from a betting perspective, so I steered well clear. Kempton looked far more attractive and has a cracking race to watch at 18:30. I believe this is the race that is … Read more

Another blank drawn from the two yesterday, continuing a bit of a timid time of it. Titian Blue looked likely to be going mighty close when he came bursting through to lead at a crucial stage, but he emptied very quickly and was duly swallowed. That looked a fitness thing, looking very likely to be … Read more

Yesterday just about summed up how betting the races can be at this time of year. It can be a really tricky period, where there are no major targets in sight, many are either coming off or have just come off of a lay off, and there is no real knowing who is a true … Read more
