A flurry of runners from the tracker today, and all bar one of the six were of serious interest from a betting perspective. I've ended up going with three, all of which are runners we've followed closely and only one of which owes us. The second selection I couldn't really be keener on.

A very quiet Sunday card was skipped and Monday isn’t much better, but there appears to be an outstanding Each-Way bet at Wolverhampton. He ticks boxes on many fronts – course-and-distance form, jockey booking, below last winning mark and an enormous swing in the weights with a fancied rival.

A short and sharp post today, as I got far too carried away with the cards. Some excellent competitive racing and some cracking races to bet with it. There's a flurry at bigger prices, but pay attention to the points system. The second biggest price is the second best fancy.

With Thursday skipped due to nothing appealing on the betting front, I was hopeful today would offer some fruitful looking opportunities, but I've ultimately been left with just the one play. However, it's a very solid one and one I was surprised to see at such a price.

A cracking Kempton all-weather card tonight and again one I thoroughly enjoyed getting stuck into. By a wide margin this is my favourite betting track and we've come away with three absolutely solid bets with boxes plentifully ticked.

For the first time in a few weeks, the racecards for the day were enjoyable to study. The cards of late have done little to inspire, but both the Newbury and Market Rasen cards look nicely competitive, and despite being low-grade, Wolverhampton looks decent enough too.

A short and sharp Daily Dial today, with a single bet on the day following a trainer in blistering form, who only has one runner on the day. A handicap debutant in a race that looks lacking in depth at this grade, hopefully it's another good bit of placement.

Distance is the single most overarching factor in judging a bet. If a horse does not stay the trip, nothing else saves it. This piece covers how to read the visual clues that a horse needs shorter or further, why the market consistently underprices trip adjustments, and the questions to ask when comparing distance-split form.

Two bets today, one over hurdles in Ireland and one on the All-Weather at Newcastle, both win bets at healthy enough prices. One being a breeding line we've followed who steps up in grade and looks overlooked in the betting, with the other one who has been running well but gets a marked upgrade in the saddle today.

Two interesting bets from the all-weather today, one each across Lingfield and Newcastle. One from the Tracker, who I've been waiting for an opportunity like this since March last year, and one who goes 2lbs better off than when collecting us place money last time out.

Plenty of racing about today, but one very obvious bet which really leapt out and jabbed me on the nose. With double-figure odds about this one, I've taken a bold stance to play him Win Only, as I think there is enormous value in him.

On a quiet day of racing we have opted for a minimum each-way bet on a big priced outsider dropping vastly in distance and bred to appreciate it. We're hoping this is a case of one having been run over the wrong distance for a while...

Early start today so the dial is going to be a brief out and punch. Two I've been waiting after, one longer than the other. It has been a quiet few days on the post front, as I've just not been sweet enough about anything at remotely close to an interesting price.
