One bet on the day with a big priced outsider chanced for a yard who hold a fantastic record in the race stretching back to 2009.

Two Win bets today, at Doncaster and Salisbury — one a full sister to a Group 1 winner, the other a notebook filly running off a mark that looks too kind. The case for both inside, plus a few others across the cards.

After a welcome 33/1 winner yesterday, today’s three are a braver kind of bet — two out-of-form types and an unexposed filly, each-way at prices worth the gamble across York, Hexham and Leicester.

A blank yesterday, but Akkadian Thunder ran a stack better than the bare result and goes straight in the book. Today it’s back to a single bet — an Ed Walker second-time-out runner at Goodwood, on an angle that’s been paying handsomely when this particular jockey takes the ride.
