Daily Dial #66 – One Bet in the All Weather Championships

A cracking day of racing ahead which will be a great watch all over. It was a grueling one to try and pick apart, which had me going round in circles in numerous races, so on that basis it is one I've decided to treat carefully on. There was one standout bet on the day though, who I right fancy

Daily Dial #65 – Kicking Off April at Kempton

Not a bad day of racing to have a study of, as there was plenty that peaked my interest, but I've come out of it with just the one bet, again on account of not being able to justify the prices. This is becoming a recurring theme, and I swear it is only getting harder and harder, which is unfortunately

Daily Dial #64 – One Outsider Bet Each-Way at Wolverhampton

A quieter day in comparison to Monday’s cards and it was very nearly a no bet, but there is a course specialist who I think is vastly overpriced on account of some rotten recent luck in-running, who remains weighted to be competitive. A wide draw to overcome, but with his running style, it may not be a bad thing. At

How to Read a Race Card: What Every Number, Symbol and Column Actually Means

The race card is not complicated. But nobody ever explains it properly. Column by column — number, draw, form, rating, weight, jockey, headgear, price — what each element means, what it is actually telling you, and where most punters completely misread it.

Daily Dial #63 – One Bet at Wolverhampton

Not the worst of days racing on the cards for this Monday afternoon and evening. With a flurry of cards, I found it fairly easy to be knocking a fair list of interest together, but I just couldn't make most of them work for a bet for one reason or another. We go with one from a list of five,

Daily Dial #62 – Two Selections from Ascot and Doncaster

The start of the Flat season at Doncaster continues today, with a few less competitive races which makes for greater betting appeal. We go there for one outsider who looks a worthy chance at a great Each-Way price, as well as one chanced in a small field over obstacles on a decent enough Ascot card.

Daily Dial #61 – One Standout Each-Way Bet at Doncaster

One of the highlights of the racing season arrives today, with the Flat kicking off at Doncaster and The Lincoln Handicap as the feature. It's a cracking card that should offer some good early-season pointers, so I'll be watching closely. One selection stands out in the feature — a cracking Each-Way bet who just needs a bit of luck in-running.

Daily Dial #60 – One Solid Each-Way Bet at Lingfield

Another quiet day during the lull in racing, perfectly exemplified by the fact my Tracker alerts have been silent for nearly a week now. Ordinarily it's rare to go a day with no alerts, but this is a real quiet patch. One bet found today, and it's one who won for us at a huge price in a race over

Daily Dial #59: A Single Selection on the All Weather

The racing continues to stumble on during the quietest time of year, and darts will continue to thrown sparingly. One runs today who has to be of interest as we backed him last month and were able to make a somewhat strong case for him at the weights. A strong jockey booking today means we keep the faith.

Daily Dial #58: One Fancied to Follow Up at Wolverhampton

One bet today, and we go back in on a familiar one after he delivered for us at 25/1 last time. He’s been nudged up in the weights, but that was a strong race with depth to it, and the form suggests he’s still ahead of his mark and looks worth siding with again.

Daily Dial #57: Two Bets at Wolverhampton

With the only selection yesterday winning with ease at Wolverhampton, we're sticking with the venue in a bid to continue the fruitful run. Three of the last four selections have returned a cumaltive +37pts and I'm hopeful on the two tonight will continue in the same vein.

Daily Dial #56: One Evening Bet at Wolverhampton

With the Flat season in sight and the middle ground between both Cheltenham and Aintree, this is always my quietest time on the betting front. The level of racing, across both codes, takes a considerable drop for a period and the betting is tough to beat, so posts and bets take a noticeable dip. The fact today's only bet comes
